Holiday at Miri - Brunei

I am back from Sarawak!!

BUT.. I didn't take many photos during this trip. Only have few pieces to share here..

Other than hanging out in Miri, I have been to BRUNEI with ahfai and xiaobai. It has taken us about 45 minutes to across the border and 3 hours to the main city, Bandar Seri Begawan. Such a long journey @@

In Brunei

Heading to Bandar Seri
Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
We first went to YAYASAN SULTAN HAJI HASSANAL BOLKIAH COMPLEX, the shopping mall that near the mosque. Its design is quite outstanding in a way that doesn't make it look like a shopping mall. After that, we went to THE MALL at Gadong, one of the new shopping complex in Brunei... But we got no mood to shop since the things there are priced at $$$ not RM >"< ( fyi, RM100 = $41 )

Later, we went to JERUDONG PARK, a place that used to be the HEAVEN for kids - according to ahfai and xiaobai. They were so excited that they could be there once again and kept telling me how fun the themepark was.. But looking into it, I can hardly imagine @@ Anyway I do believe they had their wonderful memories at this place.

xiaobai said, this DIAMOND is the significant design of the Jerudong Park..

Me and fai
View of the theme park from outsideWe were there at about 3pm, but the notice was telling us that...Managed to capture a pic of CAT outside the Jerudong Park

We left Jerudong after hanging around outside of the park. On the way leaving Brunei, we dropped by the BILLIONTH BARREL MONUMENT at SERIA... I have no idea about this place so just copied the following description from internet :P

"Commissioned by Brunei Shell Petroleum and designed by a local architect, the Billionth Barrel Monument commemorates the production of the billionth barrel of oil by the Seria oilfield. It is located close to the seawell, near the site 'S-1', the first well dug almost 70 years ago.

The approach to the monument is through an arched entrance and a row of trees on either side. The arches serve to remind visitors that Brunei is an Islamic country and the floor is tiled in an Islamic pattern. The monument is a mere 5-minute drive from the Seria town centre. " --- aguidetoasia.com

The petrol price is really cheaaaaaaaap there. $0.53 per litre!! ( $0.53 = RM1.32 ) @@ BUT.. only for Brunei-registed vehicles. For us, we had to pay $1.18 per litre ( $1.18 = RM2.94 ) ... aikz. Of course we didn't pump petrol there.

-- THE END OF MY BRUNEI TRIP --

Coming next, photos captured at ESPLANADE, one of the beaches at Miri.

The last picture reminded me of our GOD. We used to be walking on our own path and neglect His guidance. But as He promised, He never leaves us. God is always there to protect us and look after us...
